Featuring a patented design of “DC Connector Module with Integrated VRM” and LLC/Full-bridge circuit topology new power supply units achieve over 90% efficiency in all operation modes starting from 20% load to 100%, which is approved by 80PLUS® Platinum certification. High efficiency and quality allows even short 20% overload which could be critical for safe start of highly overclocked systems.

Seasonic Platinum Series adopts third version of a clever “Smart and Silent Fan Control” design, which offers three distinct operation modes, fanless mode, silent mode, and cooling mode. This system automatically adjusts fan mode and speed according to the ambient temperature level. In addition, a selector switch is provided to allow you to select between the S2FC control, without fanless mode or the S3FC fan control, with fanless mode. As usual, Seasonic is using in all new Platinum models Sanyo Denki San Ace PWM Silent Fan – the best ball-bearing fan in industry.
The Platinum Series represents the “Green PC technology” that helps computer users to save in electricity bill at all times. Moreover, the Platinum Series is compliant with Energy Star 5.0 and reduces energy consumption under standby, sleep and idle modes.
